i wanted to clean install the whole system so i made the 2 recovery discs and booted from the first and after 17% i got an error....file missing and the whole thing was canceled i tried every thing but the disks was useless
and the recovery partition was gone empty !
tried extracting the mod files from the dvds but most of them was corrupted and the dvds was barely readable

as far as i know the e.support only offer some of the basic drivers for laptop without the value added software such as the Sony media and other important programs for the laptop to function with its fully preformance and i should buy the recovery discs to fully recover my
    vAIO

i want to know is there any way to get to the rest of the drivers and software
specially the big ones as im having my f112 running on windows 7 ultimate

i just want my baby vaio to live whole again :( :(

You can try v3loc1ty2.0 guide of downloading Win 7 Ultimate from THIS thread.

After that you can use one of the guides posted somewhere in this forum of installing drivers or follow the instructions on SONY web driver DL page for the make/model of your comp.

I've got the same model, VPC-F112FX/B. I'm happy to mail you a Recovery DVD burned from my machine, or perhaps I can make an ISO and torrent? (never done that before, might be slow w/ my connection and all.

re: clean installing using the recovery discs... it looks like you did a "restore complete system", when you could have also done "restore c:\". The complete restore from recovery discs wiped your HDD and was going to rewrite your Recovery Partition from them. Then, it would have installed the OS from the Recovery Partition. The errors with your disk caused that to go all wrong. :(

Next time... make a backup image of your system before trying a clean install, just in case something like this goes awry. I learned the hard way too.

Anyway, I'm willing to mail off a DVD or whatever to help you out.

p.s. - come on over to this thread, it's specific to the VAIO F
