    Hi guys,

    sorry but i had a loo kthrough and couldnt find any mention if anyone has gotthe new BIOS for the SZ18, noticed it fot the japanese models and american but nothing for the SZ18. IF anyone ahs it could you let me know how it went and where i could download it from

    SZ18 is just like the SZ160 but comes with 80GB HD and 512MB instead...

    You can easily use updates for another SZ model

    as i stated in another thread. someone would do all SZ users a huge favor if they would do some kind of comparison chart. it's so confusing. Sony lost out on MP3 players to Apple because they didn't understand the value of a simple user interface and they will lose in laptops when Apple gets there act together and gets the rest of their macbook pro and macbook lines up to speed. And its not about the beauty and polish of os-x vs the never coming out vista it's also the model numbers and upgrade path

    Problem is each country have their own numbering system
    SZ15 an d SZ18 are sold in Australia AFAIK.
    I bought my SZ160 when i was in the US.

    Fangoes, the site I provided is for Asia Pacific models, including the SZ18. On the left menu there is a download section for notebooks, including the SZ18.

    yes thank u for that its the site i used to download the update
    all installed all good - runnign well

    the only thing i have noticed is that i used to have a hang up when logging it it would just sit at loading ur personal settings for a while..then kick in and load

    thats is now gone which is good news
