    hey all,
just got a beautiful fast SZ440 in the mail. now, it *seems* like its running hot, especially where the left palm lies when typing.. anyone else experience this or is it a bit of a lemon? (it also could be that its hot and humid this summer and its relating that? or maybe i dont have the fan on?)
    thanks

I don't have the same computer so can only halp so much. Install a application like Notebook Hardware Control "NHC" to monitor CPU and HHD temps. This will help determine if there is a problem, if temps are normal fans are working. I suspect you might have a component under left palm rest, on mine it is the right side and it is the HDD it gets hot.

    baddog,
does controlling voltage do anything? is there any setting in NHC that can help me with cooling the system off, you think?
