i just inherited a sony vaio pcg-fxa32 laptop from a family member. it's really old. whenever i remove the ac power, the laptop shuts down IMMEDIATELY. i don't even have 1 second of battery life. so i bought a new battery, and charged it for 12 hours. but my laptop is still not powering on using only the battery. in the power options, it always says 0% charging and i have never seen the battery icon in the taskbar. i suspect the charger board needs replacement, but the orange light is double blinking when the laptop is charging (it has never turned green), so is it still a bad charger board?

also the ac power plug to the laptop is very loose. i can move the wire up/down very easily. can someone tell me the name of this part and if it affects charging the battery?
