This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     new e series crashing and buzzing (!)

    hey everyone - i just got my e series laptop in the mail today (i got it mostly for the bluray drive, and before i start i should say i'm not too computer savvy so I don't know if these are stupid problems or not). beautifully constructed but two problems:

    (1) it keeps crashing. this may be from a program i put on it, so i may try to see from safe mode if i can figure out what this is... also, it doesn't recognize that my iPod exists, i'm not sure if these are related problems or not

    (2) if it is not on the full brightness setting, it makes a really loud buzzing noice!

    is any body else having these problems? is this something simple i'm doing wrong or should i try to talk to sony customer service??
