Well I just got my 2nd notebook. I used to have a dell 700m, but i sold that a few months back because the keyboard was a pos and the arrow keys were messed up and the mouse buttons sucked.

So i decided on getting a new laptop.. I was torn between getting something with a good GPU or something ultra port. I decided to go smaller. Due to the fact I dont think I need my laptop to play games.

The screen is nice and brite. No problems with the keyboard, no crunchy buttons. Its just smaller than my 700m so its taking some used to where all the keys are.. But it doesnt bother me cause I dont have HUGE HUGE hands.

So far it seems to be plenty of power for surfing/mp3s/office.

I will insteall dreamweaver photoshop cs2 later today.

I plan to wipe it clean today and reinstall xp. But it seems like sonys website only has 5-6 downloads and theres 100 things pre installed. ANd they didnt give me a cd with it, kinda stupid.

    Memory question:

Would it be better to get 1 512 so it can run in dual channel mode? Or wont this notebook do dual channel?

Would i be better off getting 1GB?

Anyone have any experience doing a format on these, in to what drivers I need to get before hand. Other than whats on sonys website:
