    no aero option when on battery

    Its a FE790. I just took my notebook to school today without the adapter and I couldnt turn on aero. Is there a way to get aero back on with battery power?

    btw i changed it to high performance and still no aero option?? I have a **** geforce 7600!!! my drivers are installed correctly!!! what the hell is wrong?

    I would think that the graphics card has clocked itself down increase the battery life. You will have to change settings in nVidia's power management settings, so that the clockspeed increases to a point where Aero can be activated. It will mean that your battery life will reduce, however.

    how do i go to the power managment settings for my card? Nvidia's control panel has nothing besides image correction...

    nVidia uses Powermizer to manage the card. I'm not entirely sure where you can change those settings, as I have an ATI graphics card, but you may be able to find it in the help section of nVidia's Control Panel. Alternatively, you might be able to search for accessing it on google.

    Right click on desktop
    Click on Personalize
    Click on Window Color and Appearance

    Check box Enable transparancy....
