    Hey,

Lately my laptop is running hotter and hotter while at the same time becoming noisier.
I was wondering if any of you knew the part number for the fan/heat sink, or maybe a place were I could start looking for it.

The SZ's fan and heatsink are very easy to get to. Just remove a panel from under the laptop. I would start by blowing out the dust and it that doesn't work remove the heatsink and clean it and the CPU. Apply some good quality thermal paste to the CPU and replace the heatsink.

    Try cleaning first will you?

You could also remove the keyboard - that'll allow you top access to the fan - unless the design was changed on the SZ7 - that's what happend on mine - also open the RAM panel - get rid of all dust - then see how it runs.

If it cools down you've got 1 concern less - the noise - if it persists, the next possible step is a replacement.
