    i'm out of space with my 60 gig music collection a couple of games and a couple a movies (yes i did a semi clean install). i'd like to move to a 120 7200 rpm drive will that affect battery life?

    100GB is as big as you'll get for a 7200RPM drive. I doubt it will effect battery life.
