    overclocking sz series anyone?

    I have had extensive overclocking experience OCing on my desktop. How do i do the same on my SZ laptop? anyone have any success with overclocking on this CPU? GPU?

    I wouldn't OC a ultra portable as they usually over heat

    Overclocking will void the warranty, and it is quite difficult to do properly in a notebook. If you are overclocking, then the temperature may increase, and in some Sony SZ, the temperature is already quite high. Overclockig the graphics card is almost out of thr question, because in a small notebook like this, it might not be cooled properly by the fan, and damage could occur.

    I agree that you shouldn't overclock the cpu or gpu in an sz series notebook though if you do want to try oc'ing the gpu, you can try powerstrip.

    you can't gain very much on the Go7400, so it's not worth the risk, especially with a thin and light, and pricey notebook like SZ

    If you know how to do it on a desktop, it should be relatively similiar I would think...

    OC'n OEM Desktops are a no no though, since they're locked by the mobo most of the time. Only thing I can think of is software OC'n. Check Guru3D for OC'n your GPU. Do it at your own risk like the above posters noted.
