wow that sucks... did you spill acid on it?
-
What model laptop is that?
-
it is FE690P. what should i do now
-
If you are out of warranty I'd just rub all the paint off those buttons.
-
Just from one touch this happened?
-
i thought it even had happened b4 my touch. the paint not stick on my finger, too.
The Mute button's paint faded itself a month ago .
i dontknow. i feel too bad ab this ...
i might buy a new laptop ??)
-
eh... i'm afraid now that my FE will end up with the same buttons as yours
if it were me, i'd just paint over it again... -
-
how could i repaint it, and have the same color paint color as original? :-ss
dont tell me i should scrape the current paint from other buttons :-ss and repaint them all.
noooooo... -

Here it is after 12 hrs -
i'd scrape it completely and repaint it cuz if u don't take the remaining off, it might peel off again soon even if you repainted it.
you can get those small bottles of paint (~$2.00)at any hobby shop where they usually sell plastic models. they will have almost any color you want (pearl white in your case) and those paints are specially made to stick to plastic so it won't be easy to peel off like maybe some other paints you can get.
about the mute button, it seems you only have a very little paint chip. so i'd go with a touch-up only on that button and not to completely scrape off the paint... gl -
Mine did the same on the mute key about a month after I got the notebook.
paint on special button (mute, volume, s1, s2) is fading away
