    palm rest paint coming off?

    Does anyone know if the palm rest is covered by Sony's warranty? Is that considered a hardware issue? Can you purchase new "housing"? Thanks.

    Is this happening to you too? Just out of curiosity, what VAIO model do you have? I'd like to know...

    To answer your question, I don't think you can purchase a new chassis. I have looked into this for my own Acer c310 series notebook, and have had no luck.
