I have a vaio vgn-nr285E . I need to replace the screen, does anyone know what the part number is for the laptop. I also need any compatible laptops that I can use to switch out screens. Thanks/.

    I reckon it's A1439409A, but most 1280x800 screens should fit/work.

It should have the part number on the back of the screen, if you want to try to remove it first.

Perhaps this eBay listing isn't the original screen (possibly inferior), but I'd probably get it.

Actually, I bidded and won it in an auction. So I haven't received it yet. I just wanted to have the parts arrive around the same time if possible. The original laptop has the WXGA glossy screen with "x brite eco technology." I have no earthly idea what "x brite eco technology" is.

-Do all WXGA lcd screens automatically have the x brite technology, or do I need to watch out for that type?
    - Do you think any series vaio screen would be compatible with my nr series. I see a lot of FE series vaios on ebay.

    Thanks so much.
