    Dear firends,

Three days ago, during a heavy thunderstorm, my neighbor house was hit by lightning.
In my place telephone lines, ADSL modem, router and the network cards for both my Sony Vaio FZ-4000 and Sony Vaio FS-775P/H were damaged. My home network is wired.

Since then I'm trying to find the parts numbers for these two network cards to fix both laptops.

Vaio FZ-4000 has a Marvell Yukon 88E8036 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller card.

Vaio FS-775P/H has a Intel Pro/100 VE Network connection card.

If you have access to Sony maintenance manuals or Marvell and Intel catalogs could you help me finding those part numbers?

If these cards are no longer manufactured are there any known replacements?

I tried to obtain that information from Sony USA and from Avnet Brasil (local Marvell distributor) but it seems that without the complete part number they can not help me!!

This is amazing because these two laptops are delivered without that information (only a very simple user manual).
Sony Brasil does not service these two models because they were not sold in this country, where I'm living now.
Local Sony repair shop agreed to do the fixing if I provide them with the two network cards.

    Thank you for your help.
