hey i am new here and I have a question

i own a sony vaio pcg-91111m very good notebook btw, but he is getting a little old and my hard drive just isn't enough anymore.
it came with a 500 GB drive. and i just opened my notebook. Now I've seen that there is a slot for a second hard drive, but no connection whatsoever.
is there a way to add a hard drive or is it just better to buy a new notebook .
