This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     pcg-tr2c model wireless problem

    Hi all,

    I have a Sony Vaio pcg-tr2c model here.

    I started having problems yesterday when I tried to join a wireless network and the whole computer just froze while authenticating with the network.

    I actually got the point of reformatting and re-installing windows XP. I couldn't find the official driver for this model but there was one for pcg-tr2a so I used that. I still get the same freezing problem regardless.

    Has anyone encountered this problem before? Or has any ideas on how to fix it?
