    picked up tz150 from compusa closing- wheres the serial?

    Ok, I picked it up. Not bad. doing a system restore on it. BUT I noticed the reciept has the serial on the box, but I cannot find that serial number on the laptop. The serial that they scanned on the box said serial: s01xxxxxxxxx but I don't see anything on the lapop that starts with a s01xxxxxxxxxx.

    On one of the stickers (on the bottom of your TZ), there are two sets of numbers between stars. Your serial number is the second number if you add "S01" in front of it.

    Ah ok then that helped. Is the last number also not listed? (shown on the box) s01-xxxxxxx-6 the "6" isn't listed on theback of the laptop.

    How much did you end up paying for your TZ150? I almost purchased one the other day but found a TZ130 for a bit less. I think they wanted something like $1469 for it.

    Scored. $1000. Gonna make sure its cleaned and running. Then I think I might buy a 2gb stick for it. If it runs so-so, I may just sell it for $1.5k with the memory. No scraches, no cracked screen hinges, everything seems to be working. I'm pretty stoked. Although Personally I think this laptop as, is should've sold new for 1.5k But Sony, like Apple makes a pretty nice looking laptop and likes to jack up the price. It looks soo cute sitting on my Asus G1s notebook. I thought the 15in was ok in size, but this is micro on it. Not as small as the Sony UX I had.
