    may be this vaio only takes the disks that come with it? is it normal that when i put in an xp cd it says that no hard drive is found in the end??? please help, since my friend deleted drivers for the screen and when it finishes to load windows the screen shows nothing and it is completely useless, thank you in advance!

    i am not familiar with the vaio bios. so these are just concepts and not exact procedures

    1. go to your bios
    2. search in bios for onboard SATA
    3. change it from AHCI to SATA emulation
    (if flash cache module warning pops up. disable flash cache module before doing this step)
