    Hi Gentls,
    I buy sony vaio VGN-SZ340 and i format it and install winxp...every thibg was ok put now when i shutt it down..it hangs on "wibdows is shutting down.."
    pls how can i fix this issue?

    Use a cheated process,

    . open up your task manager
    . end one process, shutdown and see if it hangs
    . repeat (with the next process) until you hit the jackpot, hopefully.

    i know you just reformatted the system but did you disable any startup items manually? if so, go to msconfig and check on normal startup.
