    Hello,
I am a happy owner of a Sony Vaio FE31Z and Im looking for a power managment software for battery/ac power fuctions. The features Im looking for is:
    - cpu, gpu freq regulation
    - hardware on off : bluetooth, wirless, ...

I tried Notebook Hardware Control and it looks very nice but it is not working properly: it shows wrong battery life time and CPU freq. It is supposed to change the cpu freq (max battery, max performance) but it does not ! etc ...

Do you know any other similar software ?

    thx .

First hello and welcome to the forums :)
About turning the hardware on/off.The best thing is using the software that comes with the laptop and using the switches.
As for the CPU, try the CPU-Z to monitor the temps [CPU-Z is always right] and compare it to the info that NHC shows.
[Note : When the CPU is not doing intensive tasks, it lowers the clock in order to decrease the power consumption. For more info see this : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpeedStep]
And about the battery life, what is the problem ? Can you explain more ?
If it's incorrect readings, NHC has an option that makes it calculate the clocks directly.Try it out.
