    what power settings do you guys use to get maximum battery life?...i've been fiddling around and i can't seem to get the 6hrs that some of you seem to be getting....this is after a full charge as well....any idea?>...thanks..

    Most of the time, these listings of maximum of battery life is exactly that- Maximum battery. So if it lists it as 6hr, I'd average that to 4-5 hrs personally. Sometimes their rating is when it's powered on, at very dim settings and left to run dry- that may equal to Max of 6hr battery life.

    I use the Vaio Optimized power setting on the 651 and it is great. After a full charge, I get about 5 hours and 45 minutes. If you turn down the brightness of your monitor though, you get WAY more. i.e. if you turn down to the lowest setting, I've gotten up to 9 hours.
