    hello,

my vaio fan is annoying so i decided to open my laptop and clean that fan.

after i remove my laptop keyboard and take a look at inside parts i found it is very complicated from inside. so i did some little cleaning to the visible parts. i don't want to dig inside because i don't have any youtube video that explains how to disassemble my vaio-z.

then i closed my laptop again. but i did big mistake by trying to insert long screw into a small screw hole. that was unbelievable damage to my laptop. i did made a hole in a tiny tape!!!

the affected parts is my WIFI card is always in off status (even if i turn it on) and the SD card reader slot is out of service!

kindly check the attachment photo, it shows the backside of my vaio z. this is the memory slots. i tried to put the long screw into the yellow holder! and the resulting is the clear hole that you can.

now i need to know the following:
Can i open the laptop again and find that cable?
Even if i find that cable. how to replace or how to fix?

i am living in an expensive city where people will be happy to charge me minimum $500 for this job. some hint for me how to fix will be useful. i know i can ask Sony agents. but i have bad experience with my camcorder and their sky high service charges.

thanks man. you are excellent expert.
and yes yesterday i did find a very useful and handy PDF here in this nice forum that explains how to disassemble my vaio z step by step.
i was able to remove all the parts till i can reach that SD card slot. and YES it works as connector for the WIFI switch and that is why my computer is always think that i switch off my WIFI.

i removed that part because i am afraid that it will cause some serious damage to main board because i don't know what kind of voltage it deliver now to the main board. and i looked in internet and YES i ordered this part from eBay from UK but from different seller.

Can i ask another question now.
since i remove this one so is there a way i can force my computer to ignore the WIFI switch and turn on my WIFI card?

i need to force my PC now to turn on the WIFI till I receive my replacement by mail.
    thanks
