my computer is about 7-8 months old now, and this problem has been persisting.

the battery adapter became very hard to use about a few months ago, and forced me to hold it up to charge. a few days ago, it completely wouldnt charge the computer.

the computer hasnt been dropped or anything.

    suggestions pleassse!!

sounds like the socket on the mobo has had it! call Sony and they will fix it under warranty! Needs a whole new mobo!

Since the first one shipped in June, it's about six months old, which is very quick for a pin out to break. I had my ASUS W5F for 18 months and the pin went bad in about a year. Had to put it in recycling a few weeks back, because it's just not worth to fix a cheap computer with a motherboard problem.

Hope you can get it fixed quickly.

Its supposed to have a one-year warranty, I'm sure you didn't do anything to void it right?
