Hi all, I've heard people set their s buttons to mute sound or adjust brightness. How do you guys do it? Because when i look at the sony setup program i only see things like standby, hibernate, or point to an executable file. thanks

    Hi,
I just set my s-buttons the other day.

I don't know what model you have but on the S2XP you open the 'Sony Notebook Setup' and click on the 'S button' tab. Here you can see a dop down menu for each of the buttons. In these there are some pre-determined options including a 'mute' option. There's also external display/VAIO zone/standby/hibernate/max brightness/bass boost/VAIO power management viewer/launch application.

If you choose to launch an application then the 'advanced' button becomes active. Click on this and you can specify what you want the button to run. I think you can open folders with it as well.
