I read the article about abtimizing a laptop, but when iwent into msconfig to try and end some of the startup processes and services, I got a litte lost. im not quite sure what any of them mean and I don't wanna end something important.

can someone with a new fz help me out with this. please let me know of any processes and services that are safe to disable.

also if there is anything I can do to make my new laptop faster please let me know.
    thanks in advance

    Which article? This one: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=166532

In #7 follow some of the links he has. I am doing the "tweaked" one at blackviper.com. I am about have way through it and see no ill effects. But, I did a clean install and really have very little Sony software on my system any longer.
