first of all i saw that the sony vaio vgn sr series is already on newegg and in stock. i thought it wasn't out yet. my main question though is how come the picture in newegg has a core 2 duo sticker instead of the centrino 2 sticker. is there something different in the newegg configuration?

what makes a notebook centrino is the combination of the intel processor and an intel wireless network card, and the powersaving abilities of the two. centrino 2 is a core 2 duo processor.

yeah i know but in sony's website i see that there is only one option of wireless card so i assume it's probably the intel one and it definitely uses an intel mobile processor so why wouldn't the newegg one have the centrino 2 sticker. does it have a different wireless card that is not from intel?

what are the specs for the model on newegg, if it has a different card then it should mention it.
