hey everyone, my first post, so be gentle.

my problem is this... i got my fe690 a couple days ago and i downloaded acid trial to try my hand at some home recording. to my surprise when i would start recording, it would be drowned out by a feedback type of droning noise. i tried turning down the mic volume, no feedback, but now a loud hiss muffles out the audio. i can here what i am recording under neath the noise, but obviously this is not good enough.

    any remedies? please!

oh jeez. this just keeps getting worse.

Sony cd drives are really bad. I'm getting my dell and it has a sony dvd burner, which is NOT GOOD.

Sony dvd burners just run extremely loud. If it's so bad that it causes recording problems, tell sony to fix it if you manage to get by their tech support. Good luck doing that, as Sony's tech support is the worst.
