This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Greetings all. When I spec'd my FZ I didn't include a DVD burner (Rarely ever do any copying to disk media). So I went out and brought an external one. But when run the recovery center it doesn't seem to work, it hangs and says "preparing media". The drive is installed properly, Vista recognizes it just fine......... Any suggestions????

    CRAP! Now my drive is missing 20 gb as well...what happened?
