does anyone know if after a clean install, you use the recovery discs and it will bring the system back to the original way (i.e. straight out of the box) because i did a clean install and am now realizing it is just more of a pain than a good thing.

and if it does, would anybody be willing to sell me discs for a sz-240P because doesnt sony charge l$25 for them ??

Hey......I am not sure......but Dell says they chrage for discs too......however......if you call Customer Service and cause a bit of a hassle, you may be able to get them for free. Another thing to check.......once again not sure.......sometimes notebook manufacturers put a recovery partition on the HD, so you can restore it to factory settings. Also, what is causing you problems after your clean install? I am sure people would be more than happy to help you if you get a little more specific about what you need. It does take a little work to get all Windows updates......drivers.....etc........but well worth it IMO. Well, I hope that help a little.......definately look and see if you have another partition on your HD though, a backup one of course! :)
