Spilled coffee on my VAIO. Obviously it went dead. But this morning it started again. Everything seemed to work fine, untill I shut it down. The LED's that are ually yellow, now keep blinking red. Even when shut down, and even without battery connected.

This cannot be a good sign. Any idea?

I find that usually a red light on notebooks is a signal of motherboard damage. I cannot be sure, but you should check your VAIO manual to be sure of the error codes/beeps/lights.
