My power plug on my laptop finally gave out. I cant find any articles on taking a VGN-AW series laptop apart. This is my second AW series which is a VGN-AW120J. I know theirs 2 different plugs for them. The on I have doesn't have a enclosure inside the plug and has 2 prongs that touch the pin in the power adapter.

looking at the manual I only see one DC IN w/ harness for the entire AW series (including your model)....i assume you've removed the button housing to get to it...let me know how I can assist.

Call Sony parts and accessories (contact info on Sony Support page) and get the service manual for your model. I just ordered manual for mY new FW. Only $10.

I didn't remove anything. It could of been removed before I got it. ordering a Manuel would be hard since I'm in south korea. If I could get a part number that would be sweet or even better the diagram of the DC jack.

"Free" manuals are hard to find. I agree with ezz500 above, invest 5-10usd for a service guide of your model.

    cheers ...
