This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     retrofit new backlit keyboard in older FW?

    I have the sony vaio fw series from a little over a year ago, model VGN-fW390. backlit keyboard option was not available at this time. i see they offer it now. is it possible to put a backlit keyboard from the newer model into this laptop? i am thinking not, because it wouldn't have the connections. let me know.
