i just got a cable to plug from my s-video out from my vaio to TV (yellow/white/red) input

windows detected it and it displayed something on the TV. but the image is very distorted and only in black and white.

i tried to change the resolution, color settings under windows but no luck...
i as well tried the Fn+F7 button to try to switch between LCD and TV but it says that this function is not available with the tv settings.

anyone know what's the problem of this? bad cable or i'm missing something??

    thanks for any help
