cheers mike, unfortunately we dont have any comet stores over here anymore or i would have went for that one, we only have currys/pc world. Im loosing 40gb ram but nothing i can do. I could have ordered one from comet/dell but i dont trust them sending laptops in the mail.

Im looking for a small travelling laptop that looks great and has great specs, the only laptops that tick my boxes are sony at the moment. They are expensive but you get what you pay for as the saying goes.

I love the way it looks!

especially the black one, I have the deep desire to buy one, even though I don't need it at all.

I would pay for the dedicated gfx personally but i use my laptops for occasional gaming.

Shame about comet in Ireland i'd have thought they would have been there.

Check out the dell vostro 1400 and xps m1330 before you decide though. Very high specs and some bargains to be had.

Are you aware that you moved from a blue one to a red one?

and 2 months waiting if you're lucky.

It depends if you need a dedicated Videocard.

Do you play games or do you do 3d design?

Yep its a very nice laptop, should suffice for your everday needs. I think the metallic red looks very stylish. Thinking of recommending that one to my mom who's also looking for a new laptop.

I would get the $30.00 DVD drive upgrade. It's worth it. I'd also recommend the extra $50.00 for the 2.0GHz processor, but that's just me.

then there is no point in getting a dedicated videocard.

Unless you'd want to connect your laptop to a bigscreen monitor and the Ati option has better signal quality. (and i don't know if that is the case).

Also there might be differences in TV out options.

if you are a little bit handy you'd better upgrade the harddrive yourself.

You can get a 250GB Samsung M5, very fast drive for 140 euros.

or you can get 160GB 7200 RPM drive even faster.
