    I read over on the Dell forum that its really easy to order your lappy on the phone and get a 12% discount if you are a college student.

    Does sony do anything like this?

    No, but I know if you sign up as a retailer and buy 5 or more SZ you get discount /freebies. Like sat nav and like 1k off if 10+ or something. So if you get enough people just buy them together.

    Or even better, sell the laptops to your friend and keep the freebies + discount. Which is what most of my colleagues do since we are a Sony reseller. Almost all of us have free sat nav now.
