Hey everyone. Couple questions I couldn't find on the sony website...

    1. for the graphics cards, how much vram does the 7600 or 7400 have?

    2. on the website, it shows that it comes in charcoal gray and white, but it shows a the charcoal picture (which one is it)

    3. this is more of a shopping question, but if i want to buy separate ram sticks, which ones should i get for the sony fe. thx.

    1. The video memory:
    GeForce 7600 128 MB/128 bit dedicated
    GeForce 7400 64 Mb dedicated/192 Mb shared
GeForce 7600 is much better graphics card than 7400 since the shared part of vram does not really count. Another good thing is that FE 890 has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator even if you have GeForce 7600 or 7400. That's why its total video meory is 385 MB.

    2. If you choose X-Brite with 7600, it is white.
If you choose X-Brite eco with 7400 or GMA 950, it is gray.

I've heard some people have gotten the gray version for the 7600. I actually prefer the gray version because it doesn't get dirty easily.

Under Help and support, Sony Recovery Center, or something like that. You'll need to Blank DVDs, I made two sets just to be safe.

In you sig...I see you got the Seagate 7200 RPM hdd. How is it? Noisy? Hot? I was planning to get the same hard drive for my FE. Let me know how is it.

Alright cool thanks. I'll probably do what you did just in case the first sets got screwed up later on. I also heard some Sony Drivers are not listed on the website

    Just a quick question.

Is it true that the new FE come with 667MHz 1GB RAM now while SZ still stay with 553MHz?
