i did a clean install but the camera on the TZ doesn't work, i installed the camera driver and the Vaio capture utility but it says "no input" so i have no idea whats wrong.

its just not working, is there a fix for this?

Do you have any undetected or non-working devices listed in Device Manager? Perhaps the camera was marked as having no drivers and didn't pick up the new ones when you installed them. If you see unknown devices listed, I'd remove them and reboot to let Windows redetect them.

If the device is listed but is non-working (has an exclamation mark beside it), I'd remove and reinstall the driver, then reboot and see if that helps.

If there are no unknown devices, and the camera isn't listed as a device anywhere at all, you might want to consult your documentation for the laptop to see if there are any special steps needed to activate it.

I had this issue as well. For me, it took reinstalling my video card drivers and a reboot before the camera started to work.

Yes, the camera is called a USB Imaging Device

I uninstalled the video drivers, then I ran the driver installation files again for the video card and then rebooted. I am not sure if I had to do all of that but it worked for me.

i had to download the camera driver from esupport.sony.com

The software on the recovery DVD did not include the driver itself.
