    I have a pcg-k35 model, I just bought a new battery lithium ion ,why when it is fully charged does it only last for 40 minutes :(

    If you are sure that you fully-charged it.

    is that a "lightweight" battery?

    yea, must be defective then.

    I suggest draining it then charge it again and see what happens. If the same thing happens contact sony

    when you ordered it, it didnt say like 4-cell,6-cell, etc.??? that doesnt make any sense. But it is defective most likely.
