Sony Order Status

I ordered my new Sony Vaio on the 28th of June and I've been checking back on the order status and it still says "Processing", when will this change? Will it tell me when it has been shipped? Or do you know aprox. how long it will take to get here? I'm in the US and I ordered by standard shipping etc.

 

Yes, it will change. I ordered mine on the 28th and an email stating it was shipped on the 1st.

If it was CTO model, when the laptop goes into production you will receive an e-mail and when the laptop gets shipped you will receive another e-mail with the tracking number.

 

mine is a custom order, and its now 4 weeks, and still in production

they said 3, but look like it might end up being 6 weeks or more likely 5.

 

Are you past the original estimated ship date at this point? I would call and complain if you are. They delayed my ship date twice (with no communication--I had to go to them). I was quite angry.

It turned out that the "warehouse had never received your order," or that was their story at any rate. They gave me some BS about how they ran out of the particular chassis and that my order should have been automatically canceled, blah blah blah. Not my fault and not my problem as far I was concerned. But the point is, if you don't check with them, they're not really apt to tell you anything.

 

the only think they say is that its "now in production" , will call up again on monday ...........

its insane! whats the point of waiting TWO MONTHS for a laptop, i could have had a brand new car delivered to my home in that time!

 

I feel your pain. My order was also delayed two months. Unacceptable in my opinion.

 

Yes, you definitely need to call them up and complain about this delay! That's crazy !

Luckily I got my Vaio Z delivered to me in 8 days!

 

If it is Sony's fault, work them for a discount.

 

well i called today, they said it was due to a lack of some parts, now the parts are there, they can build it.

HOWEVER they still wont tell me by when

One day i'll never buy again from sony

 

I think, we could probably post how long it took for the CTO arrival.

6/23/2010 ordered at 2PM central time
6/25/2010 processing -> vaio is being built
7/01/2010 shipped from Japan
7/03/2010 in AK for clearance
7/08/2010 Estimated Delivery

 

Mine just got sent from CHINA to belgium for whatever reason.
So im looking at least another week

 

Mine has just been put in Production, I ordered it on June 30th.
Assuming there aren't anymore delays, I should recieve it late next week.
I'm in Canada, so it's express delivery (1-2business days), but they've delayed the shipping date twice, whats to say they won't do it again...
