You should really read through the Sony/S360 threads for all the comparisons/pluses and minuses etc. All the info is there. To give you a head start I will tell you a few things.

First....the S360 is not sold anymore. Some retailers still have stock, you can find them still on Ebay but generally speaking you won't be able to walk into any stores and buy one now. They are last years generation using the Dothan Intel M processor at 400mHz front side bus and DDR1 memory. The S460 uses the newer Sonoma processor/chipset which has a 533Mhz front side bus and utilizes DDR2 memory. The S460 has an 80GB 5400RPM drive compared to the S360's 80 GB 4200RPM drive. The S460 has a DVD-RW/CD-RW drive compared to the S360's DVD reader CD-RW. The S460 slightly downgraded the graphics card to the Nvidea Go 6200 TC card whereas the S360 had an ATI radeon 9700 card. The Nvidea card connects to the PCI-E bus that is part of the Sonoma chipset as compared to the AGP 8x with the Radeon and although this bus is theoretically much faster than AGP, the card cannont make up for the fact that it's internal clock and dedicated memory are lower than the Radeon 9700 in terms of performance. This is only important for playing games or smoothness with 3D apps. Otherwise the rest is pretty much the same. However, be aware....the Sonoma processor/chipset gets hotter and uses more battery power than the Dothan chipset. What you get for this is about a 10% performance boost over the Dothan. The fan on the Sony was already loud when running hot but now runs more often (more annoying) unless you take the time to undervolt the processor (recommended). The big tradeoff between he two is battery power/heat vs. slightly improved performance. Considering the market that the product is trying to hit, battery life and heat reduction would probably be preferable. The S360 is cheaper if you can find it by about $200-300. Any more questions please reply

Thank you for the quick reply. I think I will go with the 360. I just have to get a external dvd burner. Is the heat problem really that bad in the 460. I would like to do video editing with my computer , does the graphics card have anything to do with that? I am in Canada and my choices of where to purchase are slim. Sony store or FutureShop. Which do you think has the best extended warranty. I am working on both of them for the lowest price on there remaining 360. Thank You Tloc
