found out that the Kensington 120W AC/DC Power Supply can be used on airplanes.
im going to be flying for about 20hrs on a British Airways flight and want to use this on it, but they say their outlets only allow for max 75W of power. Does anyone know the exact amount of power needed for the SZ? -
My 70W Kensington AC/DC works fine on airplanes with my SZ650. In general, 65W+ is what is required for laptops, although at that wattage they sometimes charge and operate more slowly.

There are two versions : 120W & 70W from Kensington. Get the 120W one. Have been using one on the airplane for a while now; works perfectly.

And dont forget to get the tip as well. Tip is N27 for Sony SZ. -
or you can save yourself a boatload of money and buy a power inverter like this http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5425226#Specifications
then you can just use your normal power block, be aware though, many planes don't have outlets
