i recently purchased a sony sz730 and did a clean vista intsall. I got everything to work, except for the intel graphics. I downloaded the drivers from sony's site and when i installed them, windows gave me an error message that they were not installed properly. Anyone know where i can get the drivers that will work. could it be because they were not the 1st drivers i installed? I think i insalled the nvidia and wireless drivers 1st.

when in speed mode, everything is working perfectly and no errors in device manager. When in stamina the intel graphics are the only error.

I also have another problem. I made the recovery disc, it saved on 2 discs. When i tried to restore to factory settings, it told me it could not find a backup on the disc. Any clues why?

    Thank you all in advance

edit: one more thing, is there a reason why on the intel site, there is only one download for the chipset, while the sony drivers are split into 2 (chipset and graphics).

    Hi there.

Intel updated the drivers to it's integrated graphics (X3100). You're better off downloading them directly from the Intel site. The ones that Sony provides are outdated. Unlike dedicated cards you can actually install the official drivers without any issues.

As for the recovery DVDs some people are have had success burning a copy of the backup DVD (at the lowest writing speed) and using that to recover. It's possible that (if you burnt your own) the burn went bad (it happens sometimes). Hopefully you still have the hidden partition. If you do you can try burning another set. If you purchase a dual layer disc you'll only need to burn 1 DVD. Worst case scenario you can order the recovery DVD set from Sony Parts and Services for (last time I checked) $11USD.

    Good luck!
