    how good is it?
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4650 with Total Available Graphics Memory of approx. 2790 MB and dedicated GDDR3 Video Memory of 1 GB

    also the screen description is:
The FW is the definitive widescreen viewing experience and features Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor Technology. The mixture of X-black LCD, true 16:9, LED screen technology, multimedia buttons, integrated webcam provides an unrivalled mobile HD entertainment experience

They dont offer any LED screen though?

is there any need for 6-8gb of ram anyway even with vista? i cant manage to use all 4gb in my vaio atm.

For all mobile graphics cards, see http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html

Just click on any linked model and there's a review together with a page of group rankings by class.

The AW and some of the business models seem to have the LED screens. The AW also offers an optional RGB LED. Note, there are those who prefer the FullHD to a while LED screen....

P.S. On the higher memory question, true, 32-bit Vista can't use a full 4GB but the 64-bit versions can benefit from more memory.

Where is this description from? The blurb above says "LED screen technology" but is that a typo for "LCD"? If not, where was this LED on an FW found?

It's interesting that the European sites say "multiple lamp" technology and not "dual lamp" anymore....

Does that mean that there is a new CCFL screen coming out? Hmmm....

i got that off the UK site.
i know 32 bit dosent use 4 gb and 64 bit does. i meant i cant use my 4gb to its full power.

4650 is a very good card, its way better then the usual 9600m gt that people but in this size laptop.

although, im getting a FW11E for £400 with a mx revolution.
and £1000 for my MBP so as i dont play games il buy that.
