Can somebody tell me the correct order to install the driver to regain the full setting in the vaio control center. I know I should do a clean reinstall of the drivers but I simply don't have the time plus I can afford to loose or my current setting and data. The only setting I have atm is the information and network setting. The Ethernet port doesn't seem to work either.

this is the order of SONY stuff optimized after having done in like 20 times on my VGN-Z on Windows 10. Ethernet drivers should be installed before. Your version numbers may differ. You're probably good to de-install everything from step 3 to 8 and then re-install it in that order.

    1. SFEP 8.0.2
    2. SPIC 8.0.1
    3. Shared Library - 6.2
    4. Setting Utility - 5.0.0 - reboot - update 5.0.1 - reboot
    5. Event Service - 5.0.0 - reboot
    - Fn Keys alive -
    6. Control Center - 6.0* - reboot - update - reboot
    7. Event Service - 5.0.0 - de-install / reinstall - reboot (should Fn keys have stopped)
    8. Power Management 5.11. CM7a - reboot (step only dependent on 1.-3. Shared Library)

Thanks for your detail response but I forgot to mention I am installing the drivers for windows 7 professional 64 bit. Will your steps apply as well or just for windows 10?

    I don't think it makes a difference.
And if you need Smart Network, I can only guess, before or after step 6. ;)

And step 7 is only if you have troubles after step 6.

Cool. I shall give it a try on the weekend and post back to you. I also had to install some of the drivers like 30 times before finally able to get the FN and dynamic graphic switch to work. I guess if I end up causing the fn keys to stop working again, I could always use the windows restore system to revert back to the original setting that I have now. I hope by restoring all the functions in vaio control centre will solve the loud fan in speed mode. Also it's ignoring as hell that some programs like autocad 2016 is using the crappy integrated graphics even in speed mode.

Yw, but not sure if the installation will fix your loud fan and graphics issues. For loud fan, there is a thread here in the forum how to clean it (I cleaned it in place) and how to renew the thermal paste.
Graphics issues I recommend to fix it using the BIOS hack and static Nvidia drivers, people here can help if you need.
