This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     sony vaio acpi lid fix availabe?

    Sony FE690 problem with vista. I had this problem initially with vista and my sony vaio, whenever i closed the lid, and i opened the lid, the screen would be blank, the computer would be running, but the screen would be blank, there was no fix for that except for deleting the acpi lid and using volume manager or something, i was wondering have they fixed the problem, does the new nvidia drivers help, because im planning on installing vista on another vaio laptop. thanks
