    i did a back up to discs on my vaio laptop now i want to put my back up on a usb drive how do i proceed. I tried to back up but it keeps asking me to insert a removable media. It doesn't recognize the usb drive.

    Do you mean the backup function built into Windows 7?

    By backing up, I usually just keep my Users folder as it contains all documents, music, photos, videos I have on my laptop and it is as simple as dragging a folder over to the USB.
