    Ive had an e-series 15", i5, hd 5650 for 2 weeks now.

I try and install battlefield 2 bad company - it worked the first time. WHen i go to open it up again the game is so laggy on the main menu it is unplayable. Counter strikes source is the only other game I have on the pc and it works fine.

    Please help

If you have a thermal strategy setting in VAIO control center make sure it is NOT set to silent.

I didn't mention power saving I mentioned thermal strategy. Also, these machines don't switch power plans automatically on ac so just because you are plugged in doesn't mean anything.

No sweat. New z's don't seem to change automatically either. Anyhow, did it work?
