    sony vaio enter recovery partition

    could someone help me? i have a sony vaio sony vaio vgn fs485b. i need to format it but have no discs. i was told that i could (at bios boot stage) enter teh recovery partiion and here i have a choice to format the machine? is this true, if it is what do i need to press to enter this page?

    any help would be much appreciated.

    Power off. Then power back on and start clicking the F10 key. As long as the hidden recovery partition is still there, you should get a menu with an option to allow you to restore the machine to its "out of the box" state. NOTE: ALL DATA AND APPLICATIONS WILL BE LOST PERMANENTLY!!! If you have any data you need on the machine save it elsewhere before you begin.
