    sony vaio laptop screen freezes...

    I need help w/ my sony laptop, when i turn it on it starts fine i get all the icons on my screen. but can't select any icons, if i try to select the start button it shows the sand clock. also on the bottom right were it shows the opens programs only the charging and speakers icons are the only ones that shows and also if i try to click on them i get the sand time clock. any help will be really appreciated. thanks

    it can be everything starting from virus. try to roll back to saved system restore point
