i brought a configured sony vaio laptop in the UK from sony style and the LCD screen didn't work, i sent it for repairs and it came back and it still didnt work so i decided to get a refund. it was picked up about the 21st of last month and i still have not got the money back. every time i ring up they don't have any idea about the status of the refund and just say its in another departments hands, its seriously frustrating!! im guessing coz sonys not based in the uk and it has such a large range of products its got a rubbish operations set up over here and each individual department is run separately so there communication is crap and no ones accountable.

im just wondering if anyone else has had problems with refunds from sony for vaio laptops and how they resolved the issue. Any advice would be appreciated

If you haven't done so already ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and raise your case to the next level. I would state that i expected a refund within 7 days.

I see that there is no more an official customer services address based in the UK. All Sony UK repairs are based in the UK, i'm stating that so it does not mislead anyone about Sony customer support.

This used to be the UK address but i don't know if that address is actually operative anymore. Putting a formal letter in the post is customary with these type of things.
